Your Local Guide to Life in Canada

Relocating to Canada is exciting — and it's also full of details that are easy to get confused by if you’re not in the country. As a Local Guide based between Oregon and British Columbia — and a travel agent who specializes in BC travel — I help clients navigate the practical realities of moving to and living in Canada, so you can focus on the adventure instead of the logistics.

Relocation Services — From initial planning through settling in, I provide guidance tailored to your specific move, timeline, and goals.

Canadian Culture — Understanding the unwritten rules of daily life — from workplace norms to personal etiquette — makes the difference between feeling like a visitor and feeling like a local.

Language Testing & Training — As a certified IELTS Speaking Examiner and French speaker, I help clients prepare for language requirements tied to immigration, work, or education, and offer French language support for those settling in bilingual regions.

Logistics — The essential stuff, covered:

Healthcare: how to access the Canadian system, register with a province, and bridge any coverage gaps during transition Driver Licensing & Car Importation: navigating provincial licensing requirements and the (somewhat confusing) process of bringing a vehicle across the border Work: understanding work permits, employment norms, and how and where to position yourself in the Canadian job market Location Scouting — Not all Canadian cities and towns fit every lifestyle. I help you identify neighborhoods and regions that actually match how you want to live.

Personal Scouting Trips — Sometimes you need to see it to believe it! I can help you plan individual scouting trips so you can experience potential home bases firsthand before committing — and as a BC travel specialist, I can also help plan the trip itself, from flights and hotels to on-the-ground exploring.

Whether you're just starting to consider a move or ready to go, I'm here to make the transition smoother, easier, and a lot less stressful.
