Meet Robbie & Steve

Robbie Parker and Steve Clayson traded Orlando and Washington DC for Playas del Coco, on the Gold Coast of Guanacaste. Robbie grew up just south of Boston and spent years in corporate work before running a business of their own. Like a lot of people, they found the inbox never really closed. So they made a full-time move to reset, not a trial season.

Today they own and run Expat Properties | CR, a real estate and property management company in Coco. Robbie also writes Expat In Paradise, a straight-talking guide to costs, paperwork and daily life in Costa Rica. Between selling homes, managing vacation rentals and helping their own clients settle in, they know the country from both sides: what it takes to buy here, and what it takes to actually live here. Their bilingual team and local network cover the lawyers, builders, immigration help and everyday services newcomers end up needing.

Why Costa Rica?

If you want beaches, long sunny dry seasons, real community and an international airport close by, Guanacaste is hard to beat. Robbie and Steve will give you the honest version too.
