We started RVing in 2006 when a great job opportunity required us to move across the country. At the time, our family included two special needs kids, 8 cats, 4 dogs, and 2 ferrets. We quickly realized that the cheapest and safest way to relocate our large family was to buy a used RV. Traveling in an RV gave our kids and pets the consistency and safety they needed to navigate this major life change. It was comforting to always be "at home," even while on the road. The kids were homeschooled, made friends at campgrounds, and we ultimately arrived in our new city feeling calm, with no urgency to immediately find the perfect place to settle down.

After years of touring the U.S., we wanted to experience life beyond our borders. In 2023, we took our RV international. Instead of the stressful process of applying for residency visas and hunting for housing in every new country, we embraced "slow travel," using extended tourist stays to move between borders. Along the way, we mastered working remotely from an RV and safely transporting our pets. So far, we’ve lived in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, and Belize. Today, we work, live, and travel full-time in our RV alongside a cute dog we rescued in Mexico.
