Cassondra Crushman

Originally from Virginia, Cassondra first moved to Australia solo in 2016 on a Working Holiday visa and instantly fell in love with the beautiful nature and friendly culture. In 2022, she returned with her husband to complete a degree in Sydney, where her son was born. After a brief return to the U.S, her family moved back to Australia in 2025, this time to Brisbane to complete a master’s degree while her husband started his own business. She loves Australia so much that she just can’t stay away! With a background in social work and hands-on experience supporting families and migrants, Cassondra brings empathy and practical knowledge to every conversation.

What Cassondra loves most about Australia is the ability to enjoy diverse landscapes, from bushwalking in the Red Centre to soaking up the sun at the many stunning beaches. Life in Australia is laid-back and friendly while still efficient. Australians really believe in “a fair go”, meaning that everyone should have equal opportunity to improve their life and achieve their goals. Healthcare is high-quality and affordable, but with the fresher food and cleaner air, Cassondra hasn’t had to go to the doctor too often. With each move, Cassondra has become more and more excited to live in such a wonderful country, and she feels lucky to be able to raise her son here.
