What the week covers

Thinking about moving abroad but not sure where to start?

Six days, six stages of moving abroad. Each day is packed with live sessions with international experts, and each one ends with questions. Here is what each day covers.

  • A man holding up a small globe and pointing at it

    Choosing your country

Where you can go, not just where you'd like to go, and how to tell the difference before you spend money.

  • A Panamanian flag and a passport on a visa application form

    Visas and residency

The real paths, the real income bars, and which one fits how you earn.

  • Euro banknotes fanned out on a table

    Money, taxes and banking

What you'll still owe the US, what you'll owe where you land, and how to open an account before you get there.

  • A doctor listening to a young child's heartbeat with a stethoscope

    Healthcare abroad

Public systems, private plans, and what happens to the prescription you're on now.

  • A woman looking out of an apartment window over the rooftops of Lisbon

    Housing and logistics

Renting sight unseen, shipping the things you can't leave, and getting the dog on the plane.

  • A woman standing in front of a yellow Lisbon tram

    Real life as an expat

What the first six months are like, from people who are already past them.

You can attend from anywhere with a laptop and a connection. The attendee chat runs all week, so you can compare notes with other people working through the same questions.

What to expect

What to expect at Move Abroad Week 2026

Four things you get out of the week, whether you come to one session or all of them.

  1. 1

    Sessions taught by specialists

Immigration attorneys, finance experts, insurance brokers and relocation specialists teach their own subject. Not a host reading a summary of it.

  2. 2

    Your questions answered live

Every session ends with Q&A. Bring the specific version of your question, with your income, your age and your country, and you will get a specific answer.

  3. 3

A thousand people doing the same thing

The attendee chat runs all six days. People post what they found, what a consulate told them, and where they're headed.

  4. 4

A plan you can act on Monday

You leave with a shortlist, the visa path that matches how you earn, a budget range, and the names of people to call when you're ready to pack your bags.

Reviews

What attendees say

  • I don't think I have ever been to a conference more organized and informative than this one. Your country experts helped understand what it would be like living in the particular countries. It's clear that you all have created a world class organization.

    B. McArdle, Move Abroad Con

  • You hold out a realistic process, along with the resources to make it happen, and encouragement. Your grounded information is very valuable.

    Hillary H.

  • As much as your own life has changed and improved, you are helping others see the potential for such improvements in their own lives.
