Tour The Netherlands

Experience an intensive learning with everything you need to know to make the Netherlands your new home. The itinerary includes visits to up to eight cities and towns around the country where expats are likely to choose to live including Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam, and Utrecht. You’ll also have workshops on topics such as the DAFT visa process, the rental and buying housing market, getting your children into the right schools, navigating US taxes and investments, and integration.  Before the end of the week, you will feel like a scholar of the Netherlands!

Meet the Experts

Our team can help you at every stage of your move to The Netherlands

Bethany Quinn

Bethany moved to the Netherlands on the DAFT visa in December 2022, where she met her Dutch partner, Robin. (She is now on a partnership visa, FWIW.) They live in a beautiful, green part of Amsterdam, a block or two from a metro, a giant park/nature preserve, two playgrounds, and a grocery store. She is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, and is a queer foodie who loves cooking, travel, and karaoke.

Before relocating to the Netherlands, she worked for a union on legislation and corporate campaigns, working on everything from the Affordable Care Act to immigration reform to private equity firm engagement.  She was the founding Chief Operating Officer at media company Rediscovering Our American Dream, and is a member of Mensa (or as she calls it, “brunch with smart people.”).

Jana Sanchez

Jana helps Americans move to The Netherlands by connecting them to all the resources and people they need to meet and advising them through the entire process from visas, housing, education, work and other topics.

She’s a former nominee for US Congress who has lived in the Netherlands and the UK over two decades. She is a former journalist and once ran a pan-European public relations agency with partners. She has a BA in political science from Rice University and speaks Dutch well enough to get by. She lives in Haarlem, the Netherlands, with her Dutch husband and two rescue dogs.
