What to Expect

Community: Meet other people who want to move to Spain or Portugal and enjoy exploring and getting to know each other. There will also be opportunities to meet locals and other expats.

A learning experience: Stay in neighborhoods and live as locals to get a feel for how you might like living in each of our destinations. Meet the experts from Moving to Spain and Expats Portugal along with their trusted partners.

Structure…: Our itinerary will include dates in each city, a schedule of recommended excursions to vetted towns and neighborhoods, what train to take to reach the next city or excursion, a group dinner reservation in each hub, suggested hobby group meetups in each city, and a live seminar with experts in each country.

…but also flexibility: Everyone’s needs and budgets are different, so everything on our itinerary is optional. Feel free to hop on/hop off as you need, make your own choices about what to spend on food & accommodations, and even whether you join us in Spain, Portugal, or both! If you’d like to create a lodging group to save on rooms, we’ll facilitate that in our Facebook group.

Fun!: We’re all moving abroad for a better life, so we’ll work on giving you a taste of what that means to you.

Spain Seminar

Hosted by Alison Johnson from Moving to Spain, you’ll enjoy complementary beverages and tapas while she shares her knowledge about life in Spain and introduces us to trusted local providers like her immigration attorney, realtor, and tax accountant.

Hosted by Expats Portugal, you’ll see a presentation from their team on how to move to Portugal, followed by a Q&A session with them and their team of experts.
