Vietnam

Why Vietnam?
Vietnam's low cost of living is undoubtedly its biggest draw for digital nomads and retirees. Members of the country's large expat population — especially in neighborhoods around Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City — say it's the perfect entry point to living in Asia, citing the warm weather, friendly community, and food, food, FOOD. Wine lovers may lack for options, but coffee lovers will be in heaven. The downsides can be the language barrier (although your high school French can come in handy, and signs in Vietnamese use the Latin alphabet), urban air quality, and lack of some freedoms under the authoritarian government. There's no shortage of things to see and do in Vietnam, from stunning natural landscapes to vibrant local markets.
