The Philippines

Why the Philippines?
The Philippines beckons expats with its perpetual warm weather, gorgeous beaches, delicious cuisine, and deep cultural roots. This archipelago offers endless natural beauty to explore, from thousands of beaches and lush mountain areas to picturesque cliffsides and an abundance of flora and fauna. There is also a range of delicious native food, from fried lumpia to stewed adobo and grilled sisig, served in restaurants throughout the region.
The country's lower cost of living makes it an ideal place to retire or work as a digital nomad. However, internet access can be dodgy in less populous areas, while familiar comforts like 24-hour grocery stores may be rare. Transitioning from Western culture to Southeast Asia involves its own challenges, in spite of widespread English speakers. Overall, the Philippines presents a wealth of new adventures on the far side of the Pacific Ocean.
