Strong connections to family factor heavily into island life. Job prospects are limited, so working remotely or having enough retirement income works best. It’s one of those “everyone knows everyone” places, so safeguard your reputation closely while you’re here. Overall, it’s a great destination for Black Americans to feel right at home.
