Canada

Why Canada?
Our neighbor to the north is an appealing choice for many Americans, especially those who love winter sports, unspoiled natural beauty, universal healthcare, or Timbits. Canadians are famously friendly and welcoming, living in big, beautiful cities and small villages that (almost) all speak English. However, Canada is not always as welcoming as its citizens, and there's no retirement visa at all. If you're interested in migrating to the Great White North, the younger you start, the better. Students have the easiest time moving to Canada, and others can see how they fare in the points system used to see if you're eligible for Express Entry. In the meantime, you might work on your poutine recipe at home.

Your Guide to Canada
Amanda Franzoni is a New Jersey transplant to the Pacific Northwest who has been traveling to British Columbia for the past 30 years. Hundreds of hours of research and hundreds of supporting documents later, she recently became a permanent resident of Canada and lives in BC part time. As someone who explored a variety of avenues for immigration and has gained permanent residency without the help of an attorney, Amanda can help you navigate the array of potential residency routes in Canada.
