Paraguay

Why Paraguay?
If you’re looking for an off-the-beaten-path location to live, work and play, Paraguay might be the perfect place. It’s a country full of surprises and with lots of potential, making it a popular expat destination. On the plus side, Paraguay is known for its relatively low cost of living and generous visa options. The government offers a one-year work/residency visa, with renewable options every year after that, making it ideal for digital nomads. The country also has lush jungles, rivers, mountains, and beaches—all within easy reach of the capital city Asunción.
On the downside, Paraguayan laws and regulations can be complex and bureaucratic, making the process of setting up a business or applying for visas challenging at times. Corruption is still a problem here, with higher crime rates than some other countries. Overall, Paraguay has a lot to offer to the right immigrants—from its low cost of living to its stunning natural beauty.
