Test Your Geography Knowledge With This World Capital Challenge
We’re back with another quiz to prove Americans aren’t as disastrous at geography as everyone says. This time, we’ll see how many world capitals you know.
We’ll make it a bit easy by showing you the capitals to see if you can name the country, instead of the other way around.
We’ll also stick to better known cities, although we’d like to make you guess that Funafuti is the capital of Tuvalu. It just sounds like a happy place where you eat birthday cake for breakfast.
Keep track of your score on our world capitals quiz, and we’ll let you know if you’re a geography whiz or a global disgrace. There are 75 capitals to guess. Good luck!

Are Americans Terrible at Geography? Name These Countries

It’s been a running joke for decades that Americans are bad at geography. Anyone who’s seen people try to name a country on Jimmy Kimmel Live! knows how few average people can identify countries on a map, but we’re not much better at naming states, either.
We’ll make it easier here and ask you to name the country by a famous landmark. Give yourself one point for each country you can name. At the end, we’ll tell you if you’re a geography whiz or… an average American.
