Who you will work with:
All 30 staff members have lived and worked abroad and are dedicated to the success of our students. All 25 professors at ITA have an MA or PhD in TESOL or related fields and have taught abroad to give professional and practical training to empower our graduates to be high-quality teaching professionals.

ITA Clients (Students):
Anyone who wants to live and work abroad in Europe, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East as an English teacher is fluent in English and can be trained, certified, and hired. 90% of the ITA students do not have any previous training as an educator, and 50% have never left their home country before being certified by ITA. Ages range 18-80 with 80% having a 4-year degree or higher. We expect you to be at ground zero starting a TEFL class and then be prepared to be a first-year teacher when certified. Basically, anyone with the desire to become an English teacher can do this.

ITA Training and Services:
Certification: The international standard for TEFL certification is a minimum of 100 hours of coursework and 6 hours of student teaching. This is comparable to a 6-9 credit hour university course. TEFL Certification classes are either full-time for 4 weeks at an international location, all in a virtual online setting, or can be done part-time online over 11 weeks, 12-15 hours a week. Additional continuing education specialty classes for advanced training are also offered.

Lifetime Job Assistance:
ITA provides pre-enrollment admission advice to ensure candidates have the right information and expectations of where they can work and in over 80 countries before committing to enrolling in a TEFL class. Enrolled students and ITA Alumni are provided with lifetime job resources, training, and live job support assistance from our Student Affairs team. ITA also offers upgraded programs in certain countries for guaranteed jobs, visas, moving, cultural training, and support.
