Rwanda

Why Rwanda?

Lush, green Rwanda is known for its rolling hills, breathtaking wildlife, and growing economy. The small, landlocked central African country boasts a booming tourist trade and is known as one of the cleanest nations on earth. Entrepreneurship is encouraged, and corruption is low. Local art and coffee are plentiful. The temperature is mild year-round, and freshwater beaches can be found at Lake Kivu. Outdoorsy, adventurous expats love Rwanda’s conservationist mindset. That said, the authoritarian style of government may not be for everyone. The largely Christian nation favors access to guns over access to marijuana, gay marriage, or abortion. Although English is an official language, fewer than 1% of people speak it. Most people speak Kinyarwanda.
