Nicaragua

Why Nicaragua?
Moving to lush Nicaragua is a great way to stretch your dollars. You’ll especially save on locally produced goods, fresh foods, and medical care. Between beautiful Pacific and Caribbean beaches are stunning lakes and volcanos, and outdoorsy folks may be the happiest here. Many expats love living in American-style gated beach communities, while others assimilate in colonial city centers. However, the country is rated Authoritarian, has strides to make in protections for women and LGBTQIA people, and is not ranked highly for healthcare, safety, or infrastructure. Many expats have two tips for people who want to move there: learn to speak Spanish, and rent before you buy.
