Expat Scouting Trips
Expat Scouting Trips
by Jen Barnett
Our newest offering from Expatsi are scouting trips to visit countries you’d like to consider. Visiting a country to see if you’d like to live there has little to do with vacationing there. You’ll want to stay in neighborhoods where you might live and do the sort of day-to-day things you’d do if you lived there.
I love to cook and try new foods, and Brett loves to read and go to the movies. So while we don’t miss out on the beach, a museum, or other opportunities for entertainment and relaxation, our first stops are grocery stores, cinemas, and libraries. We book Airbnbs in neighborhoods we’d like to consider, and we try to fit in as many neighborhoods as we can on a trip. We drive ourselves around, because that’s our preferred mode of transport.
As a follow-up to our immigration consultation service, we recently added scouting trips for a project rate. Your trip can be as scheduled or as fluid as you like, and will incorporate all the elements that you’ll need to choose where to move, whether they involve trying out café life, joining in outdoor activities, visiting schools and places of worship, attending meetups, and more. For more info, contact Jen at jen@expatsi.com, or schedule a consultation.
