Where is gay marriage legal?

Since the current Supreme Court overturned of Roe v. Wade, and specifically based on Clarence Thomas’s opinion in the decision, many Americans are looking to a future without some of the rights we have now. One of those is the national right to same-sex marriage, legalized in Obergefell v. Hodges in 2015. Another even more harrowing possibility is the overturning of Lawrence V. Texas, the 2003 ruling that prevents states from criminalizing gay sex. Update: the Respect for Marriage Act was enacted to protect these.
