Canada Is Hiring! See the Jobs and Apply

Canada is a popular choice for Americans looking to move abroad; its combination of English speakers, closeness to the U.S., and universal healthcare make it an attractive choice. For many would-be expats, the challenge is in finding a job to support themselves in the Great White North. Fortunately, a solution has just arrived.

According to expat.com, Canada has announced a pilot program for hiring new caregivers and aides. They have 15,000 permanent resident spots for available for high school graduates with a year of experience in home health care and a job offer from a Canadian employer.

Home care is a growing sector for Canada. They’re hoping to recruit over 15,000 qualified foreigners to fill these caregiver and aide roles by 2026.

Here are their current qualifications for applicants:

  • Have at least a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency with English
  • At least one year experience in the home care sector

On top of the home care career option, British Columbia is also making it easier to work there by relaxing regulations on foreign diplomas, thus opening more jobs for foreigners across a number of industries.
